OGDEN — Police have taken two people into custody after an alleged bank robbery in Ogden.

Around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a reported bank robbery at a KeyBank located at 3565 Harrison Blvd. in Ogden, according to a press release from the Ogden Police Department.

Bank employees told police that a man entered the bank and demanded money. He did not display a weapon, but the man was given an unknown amount of money and left the area in a vehicle, the release said.

Ogden Police officers found the vehicle near 22nd Street and Washington Boulevard and a police pursuit began. The chase lasted about 12 minutes before police caught two suspects in the area of 600 North Porter Ave., according to the release.

Officers used “pursuit intervention techniques” to apprehend the two suspects.

A man and a woman were taken into custody by Ogden officers and FBI agents, the release says.

As of 4:15 p.m., the two were still in the custody of the Ogden Police and had not been released or transferred to another building, according to Lt. Tim Scott of the Ogden Police.

Neither have yet been booked in the Weber County Jail.
